From 12 th to 14 th November, representatives from Warsaw University of Technology, the University of Lisbon, the National Technical University of Ukraine – Kyiv Polytechnic Institute and the University of Luxembourg met in Warsaw for the first transnational project meeting of the Erasmus + project ParIS.
ParIS is a Strategic partnership in Information Security (ParIS) within the framework of the Erasmus + programme, coordinated by the University of Luxembourg. Its goal is to respond to the increasing demand for specialists in the area of security, reliability and trust in information technology by developing an international joint Master’s programme in information security between the participating universities. In order to reach this goal, the project leaders will closely collaborate in designing and adapting a common curriculum, focusing especially on the employability of future graduates and the use of ICT methodologies.
In addition, Intensive Study Programmes will take place every year with the participation of students and teaching staff from all the partner institutions, offering participating students the opportunity to benefit from the specific expertise of teachers and researchers from the partner institutions and to work together in multinational groups.
The first meeting brought together experts in computer science and in particular information security and administrators from the four partner universities. Its main purpose was to discuss the planned project activities, to present the administrative and financial framework of the project and to start working together on joint projects.
The next meeting will take place in March 2015 in Luxembourg.
